After my unique experience with the presence of the Holy Spirit that lasted about three hours, I left it to God alone to complete His deliverance upon my life. When I was released by the Holy Spirit, I was very zealous and aggressive proselytizing in my evangelism, anointing and leading people to Christ. I felt empowered to lead people from other religious beliefs through the power of healing and baptism of the Holy Spirit upon my life. I was raised in a missionary church but saved at a Pentecostal Church.

In the early 1980s, in the church history of Nigeria there was a new movement of Gods' Spirit all over the country which led to a new birth of contemporary Christian churches and fellowship. Young people left their orthodox church denominations because there was no movement of the manifestation of the power of God. Baptism of the Holy Spirit was not allowed in denominational churches such as the Missionary, Anglican, Catholic, Methodist, etc. The leadership of these churches thought it was a false spirit and that speaking in tongues was from the devil. We were all told to leave the church and many youth did leave, with no regrets. I refused to leave and a few others stayed too. By the grace of God, we started the Pentecostal movement in the Missionary Church in Nigeria today.

In 1986 I started teaching in a high school after graduating from the college of education. I founded a Christian fellowship called the Fellowship of Christian Students (FCS) for students in that state government high school in this village in Nigeria. The manifestation of Gods' power of healing and deliverance and baptism of the Holy Spirit was so great that it called the attention of the state government because of the rate Muslim students being converted. The state Muslim leader was attempting to have me killed or kidnapped when male students informed me of this plot. It was so much like it happened to the apostle Paul in the Bible. I was advised to run for my life which I did. Back in my birth town, I was busy ministering deliverance and healing to adults and children who were possessed with evil spirits. God confirmed His word with signs and wonders following.

In 1987 I was back in academic life again, back to university to pursue my degree in education. After my graduation in 1989, I went back to high school to teach. During my university time, I started another youth fellowship under world the soul-winning evangelistic ministry founded by Prophet T.O. Obadare in Ilesa, Nigeria. The movement of God was even greater than the previous years in the ministry of soul winning. The baptism of the spirit and healing was very controversial in that time, because of the unusual way God baptized these young people and adults even though this is a Pentecostal organization. When the founder of the ministry heard about the way I had been persecuted, he was not at all pleased. He was impressed with the way God was using me, but his associates did not see it that way.

Seventy-five percent of these young people are men and women of God today, professionals of all kinds, like teachers, nurses, architects, lawyers, civil servants, pastors and evangelists.

I traveled around the country to conduct revival meetings showing the love of God.

In 1990 I was married to a beautiful young lady that I met at one of my revival meetings in Ilesa, my father's home town. It was my deceased father's wish that I would marry from his home town. In 1992, just over a year after I got married, I moved to Canada to start a new life in a new country. Along with that came a new faith and a nation of multicultural backgrounds. This is a very different experience for me and I thank God for this great honour to be in Canada.

During my student life at a Bible College and churches in Canada, Gods' love could not be hidden as it shone through me to those who would persecute me and maintain their prejudices against me. Some think that God has made a mistake to empower a young, black man from Africa, especially someone from such a weird background like mine. It hurts, when so called Christians and ministers of God who should know better, who claim that they know the theology of God, who should be your strongest supporters, are the ones who stand against me the most. I pray for them, for God to open their spiritual eyes and humble them, that God has no respect of person and whatever pleases God, He does in heaven and on the earth, because the earth is of the Lord and the fullest thereof, the world and those that dwell therein. I pray that people will realize that we are all serving the same God and they have hindered the prayers of Jesus Christ in the Gospel of John, Chapter 17...that God will make us one, that the world will know that we belong to Him.

Most of my ministry in Canada was a street ministry among the outcasts on the streets corners and the young that were rebellious to their parents. I ministered in the church, in prayer meetings and witnessed in homes and led many to Christ. Until 2004, I had yet to receive any Church recognition and I was reminded of how painful it was for Jesus during His time on this earth. The scripture says in Isaiah 53:3...He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrow and acquainted with grief. This experience has created a strength and a character in me. If it is the will of God for me, I will take it, but I will always ask for His grace. I have travelled to the United States of America to minister among Nigerians and whites there too. What a great honour God has given me, to serve him.

I was in Nigeria in December 2001, when the Lord spoke to me to be ready for the ministry and I began to pray to God that He would call me to that ministry. One week after I arrived from Nigeria from my mother's funeral service (she went to be with the Lord at the age of eighty-three; she was saved in 1988 at one of my revival meetings) I had a dream one night. A poster of Gods' attributes names was presented to me and a lady pointed to this name El-Elyon and she said God wants you to give your ministry this name because this name will be manifested in your ministry and life.

I am the type of person who will never do anything or make a decision before first asking God for permission and directions. I would rather wait, because anything not of Gods' will, will not last. It will lack joy and the blessing of the Lord. Gods' divine favour will be missing.

This is where my heart is, being a part of the will of Most High God. This was then followed up by registering el-elyon with the Canada Customs and Revenue Agency as an official charitable organization. Elim Christian Crisis Centre in Jebba, Kwara State, Nigeria is international missions project. The Elim Centre is incorporated with the Federal Government of Nigeria Corporate Affairs Commission. Both El-Elyon and Elim have a board of directors and trustees in Canada and Nigeria respectively. The Elim Centre is as real as the El-Elyon ministry in Canada, the international headquarters.
