El-Elyon Evangelistic Ministries World Outreach is a Christian Charity Organization. It is a non-government, non-profit organization that demonstrates the love of God by providing assistance to individuals and groups of people world-wide who are suffering from the effects of poverty, disease, war, famine and disasters without regard to their faith, ethnic origin, social class or world view around the world. El-Elyon has its international headquarters in Ontario, Canada. We strongly believe that the gospel must be preached in a practical way.

ELIM Christian Crisis Centre in Nigeria is a social and educational missions department of this organization. This Elim centre intends to initially operate in Jebba Kwara State Nigeria. Nigeria is a nation on the path of recovery from the brutality of a military dictatorship and is in a religious crisis including its social and unstable economy. Politically, Nigeria is really struggling. Officially seventy-five percent of Nigerians live in poverty.

The wrongs of many years however, cannot be corrected overnight. The Nigerian society of today, in spite of the vast natural resources and the much celebrated democracy, has a high level of poverty, unemployment and a poor level of infrastructural development. Consequently, the Nigerian government has established a program called the poverty eradication scheme with the aim of improving people's standards of living and providing basic infrastructure facilities.

How can a government burdened with huge external debt, with its attendant implication on the nation's economy shoulder such responsibility effectively? There is certainly a need for non-government organizations and religious bodies participation. Who can care better for the needy, the poor and the down trodden in the world today than the church? The church was ordained of God as the salt of earth - an effective preservative agent from all manner of decadence. She was ordained as the light of the world to which all people can reach out towards, out of the region of darkness. We believe and we are advocating that the church must be at the forefront of the campaign against poverty in Nigeria.

It is in this light that we believe God is raising this ministry, El-Elyon Evangelistic Ministries, to establish a Christian Crisis Centre where people can receive help and comfort in time of need. The main objectives of this ministry are to create decent accommodation facilities for the various operations of this ministry. This will enable her to discharge her God given responsibilities towards the needy, the poor and the neglected children and women through orphanage programs, a vocational training centre, self-employment initiatives for men and women including building a strong youth for the future of a great Nigeria in the way and fear of the Lord Jesus Christ.

At Elim Christian Crisis Centre in Nigeria we will provide vocational and skills training for our Clients. We will provide counselling and medical care for the sick and abused children and women. We will provide food and clothing. We will provide emergency and temporary decent shelter for the displaced and homeless women, men and youth in crisis. The local communities will be involved by volunteering and training our clients.

We want to see the local economy and livelihoods improve. As the community becomes more involved with its participation, the positive impact will become inevitably evident. In the future, God willing, we can expand to other states, at national level and other African countries.

Elim Christian Crisis Centre has been incorporated with Nigerian government Corporate Affairs Commission in Abuja. The centre is already operating. The support of the town, Jebba, Kwara State, Nigeria is overwhelming. Both Christian and Muslim communities have pledged their support. This community has offered a temporary building for the operation and has donated eight acres of property for the permanent site of Elim Christian Crisis Centre.

El-Elyon Evangelistic Ministries World Outreach was officially registered with Canada Customs and Revenue Agency as an official charitable organization and Elim Christian Crisis Centre as its overseas missions project.

Prior to this time, the founder and leader of this ministry had a unique ministry with youths, both in Nigeria and Canada. He has also led soul-winning evangelistic crusades and divine healing meetings in both the USA and Canada. He had traveled extensively in Canada and the US with the support of local church leadership to preach the gospel with love and compassion for hearts that need rest and Gods' salvation.
